Learning and Making an Impact as an Intern at Renesas
3 Card/Text Snippet
On my first day of my internship at the Renesas office in Noida.
I've always wanted to be part of a company where I could learn, contribute, and grow alongside talented people. That’s what drew me to Renesas. The company’s commitment to driving innovation through AI in chip design and the opportunity to work on impactful projects felt like an open invitation to explore the cutting edge.
Gaining Hands-On Experience and Deepening My Knowledge in AI
From day one, the internship wasn’t just about tasks – it was about immersion. I strengthened my skills in working with Azure Databricks ecosystem, SQL warehouses, Unity Catalog, and cloud deployments. I was able to deepen my knowledge in AI frameworks and learn new things by building vector databases and design advanced RAG systems. Each step introduced me to new concepts – blending multimodal data, re-ranking results intelligently, and exploring Active RAG and RAPTOR.
Each challenge – be it optimizing retrieval speed or ensuring deployment reliability – was a puzzle that sharpened my problem-solving mindset. But what truly stood out was the culture. I could always rely on the advice of my managers, who were encouraging me to take the initiative and champion new ideas. Additionally, the team lunches were a great opportunity to connect with colleagues, learn more about their experiences, and strengthen relationships within the team.
That culture of trust and collaboration made me feel confident during my journey at Renesas and gave me the courage to work on big projects that had a visible impact. The freedom to experiment with new AI frameworks, the encouragement to push ideas into production, and the team's readiness to guide you through complex technical challenges – all of it creates a space where innovation feels organic.

Working on Real Projects with Real Impact
At Renesas, interns are given real responsibilities and have the space to turn their ideas into real products. One of the most exciting projects I worked on was building and deploying an AI-powered Chabot for the Renesas Noida site – something that could instantly answer user queries in real time.
When I learned it was going live, I felt excited but nervous as well. I felt like solving really important challenge. I optimized the backend for lightning-fast responses, tackled unexpected bugs, and ensured seamless integration with internal systems. Suddenly, it wasn’t just a theory – engineers were interacting with the Chabot I've built! All the time and effort I invested was worth it. In that very moment I realized the real impact of my work.
I can't describe how happy I was when I received a full-time offer from Renesas. It wasn't just an offer – it was a statement that my contributions mattered and that I could help shape the future of AI here. It marked the end of my internship, but also the beginning of my role as an innovator and contributor in this great team.
Be Curious and Don't Be Afraid to Fail
If you’re reading this as a future intern, here’s my advice: own your curiosity. Ask “what if?” often, because at Renesas, those questions can lead to real breakthroughs. Be proactive, document your ideas, and never fear failure – bold thinking is valued here. And remember, the more you invest in learning, the more you’ll get back in opportunities.
Looking back, my internship was more than just a professional experience – it was a launchpad. Renesas gives me the space to experiment, to grow, and to contribute in meaningful ways. If you’re ready to challenge yourself and see the real-world impact of your ideas, you’ll find your own transformation waiting here.
