Job Description

Looking for an opportunity to showcase your expertise in system administration on a global scale? Join our team as a Senior Windows System Administrator and become an essential part of our remote server operations. You'll play a key role in maintaining and optimizing our Microsoft Windows Server systems, state-of-the-art hypervisors, and robust backup platforms. Responsibilities

  • Installation and maintenance of system infrastructure hardware, software, and services, ensuring they meet established standards and project requirements.
  • Keep a close eye on the performance of our system infrastructure, applications, and services, implementing optimizations and upgrades as needed to enhance efficiency.
  • Oversee data backup and off-site replication operations to safeguard critical data and ensure business continuity.
  • Take charge of troubleshooting, repairing, and recovering from system infrastructure issues, collaborating closely with application teams to minimize downtime.
  • Stay ahead of the curve by researching and recommending innovative, automated solutions for system administration tasks.
  • Drive projects forward by developing plans, schedules, and providing regular updates on project milestones.
  • Provide remote support to our global sites, working closely with onsite teams to address server-related issues promptly.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bring 3-5+ years of experience with Microsoft Operating systems and related technologies, including NTFS permissions.
  • Demonstrate expertise in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting Microsoft’s Active Directory in multi-forest environments, including domain and federated trusts, DNS, and Active Directory Sites.
  • Showcase 3-5+ years of experience with Nutanix or VMware and virtualization technologies, with additional experience in VMware ESX, Nutanix, or other hypervisors being advantageous.
  • Have experience administering Cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, and others.
  • Work effectively in a remote, team-oriented environment, with the ability to manage multiple tasks or projects independently.
  • Possess strong organizational and time-management skills, along with a detail-oriented approach to troubleshooting.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism when assisting clients with technical questions and issues.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Solid understanding of network technologies, with the ability to troubleshoot server network issues.
  • Proficiency in one or more scripting languages like PowerShell is desirable.
  • Experience with Rubrik Backup Solutions is a plus.
