Tech Engineer Aide
As an eng. aide/technician in our Renesas Power Computing BU, you will have full responsibility for our growing new power application lab sited in Catania. You will be directly responsible for all our highest technology equipment, for maintenance, and new bench set-up. You will be involved in the selection process and measurements methodology suggestions and practical implementation, working closely with experienced application engineers and the best of the equipment on the market. We are looking for a power electronic passionate, interested in being a key player in the interesting world of modern power converters test and validation activities, giving your interactive support to the PCB design process, taking care of components library, footprint maintenance and update, suggesting best components selection and PCB component placing.
You will be in charge to be in contact with our PCB manufacturers around the world to investigate the best of the technology each of them can offer to win our challenges in an extremely dynamic market, where new ideas, quick execution and flexibility can make differences in front of our customers.
Key Responsibilities This role has direct responsibility of our equipment providing support to the converter design and characterization process of new solution through lab bench activities.
Key responsibilities include:
· Automation measure bench setup
· Board preparation including reflowing, soldering and restoring of used PCB
· Data collection
· PCB design and routing
· PCB technologies innovation using new available materials
- This role requires direct experience in PCB layout (2, 3 years) with deep knowledge of complex mixed signal and power PCB board design.
- Good knowledge and use of PCB tools like: Altium and Allegro Cadence.
- Direct lab experience with deep knowledge of the main equipment: multichannel Oscilloscope, DAC, Bode plot acquisition, thermalcamera, programmable waveform generator and digital pattern generator.
- Propension to manual work aimed to reflow, assemble and rework on complex PCB board based on the most advanced SMD packaging technology.
