Talent Acquisition Manager (Japan)

Job Description

As a member of the REL HR team reporting to the Head of Talent Acquisition Japan, you will partner with various stakeholders to build a long term, best-in-class TA function. The successful candidate will bring a proven track record of leading recruiting teams, hiring at scale, building systemic solutions and automation that support business growth. 
Key Accountabilities:
People Management – Lead a high performing talent acquisition team in a fast paced, high-growth environment. Drive the career development and engagement of the team. Drive accountability within the TA organization to deliver on the talent plan by prioritizing work appropriately, resources as required, and removing roadblocks as they appear ensuring team member’s success.
Operational Excellence – Streamline and enhance existing processes and develop processes where needed to drive continuous improvement, consistent standards, and compliance. Identify opportunities to drive process and team effectiveness. Drive the customization and configuration of Applicant Tracking System as well as other technology solutions to improve the candidate experience. Manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, or activities, using good judgment and data to make the right call on priorities and resources
Partner and Stakeholder Management – Providing governance, leadership and direction for all strategic partnerships including agency and supplier partnerships. Partner with HR Business Partners and business leaders and provide guidance regarding talent needs. Develop and maintain internal and external relationships that support a diverse pipeline. Deliver great candidate and hiring team experience by using data and analytics to identify and address weak links in process or approach.
Branding & Attraction - Develop sourcing and attraction capabilities to ensure we can attract and engage with the best candidates in the market. Structure a talent sourcing framework and advance our sourcing capability. Identifies systemic talent issues and partners with talent leadership groups to ensure the right screening tools are being used and relevant factors are being considered. Leads initial screening/assessment improvement efforts. Utilize social media & other brand marketing tools to attract talent and build employer brand.


•    3-5 years of talent acquisition leadership experience
•    Experience supporting recruitment technology is strongly preferred, configuring and implementing Applicant Tracking Systems
•    Desired candidate should have extensive experience developing scalable talent acquisition policies, processes, and programs
•    Proven track record of leading a high performing talent acquisition team in a fast pace, high-growth environment
•    Demonstrated ability to influence successfully and achieve goals by partnering across a matrix of stakeholders - business leaders, HR partners, and external partners
•    Experience in HR/TA transformation efforts a strong plus
•    Bachelor’s Degree
•    Language Skills: Business level of Japanese & Business Level of English
