Job Description

  • Responsible for managing the development of New Products (Industrial and Automotive) and delivering on all program commitments from inception through execution to tape out and start of production.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations to ensure on-time project completion within budget constraints
  • Drive cross-functional teams including design, test, product engineering, validation, marketing, systems, applications, operations, various factories, and vendors as project lead to meet project milestones and objectives.
  • Manage several key projects in parallel or singular large program
  • Continuously reviews program progress, proactively identify risks and collaboratively develops and drives risk mitigation efforts
  • Collaborate with cross-functional and peers from other business groups to drive collaboration and harvest best practices and lessons learned to keep the business group in sync with One Renesas methodologies, tools and systems
  • Drive execution initiatives and process improvements at the functional, cross functional and business group level
  • Monitor and report on project progress, including key performance indicators and metrics, to senior management and stakeholders
  • Key Performance measures
  • Delivery of projects to schedule, budget and quality. First time right mentality with execution.
  • Implement project management strategy to challenge status quo and drive higher efficiency of execution to scale up to the roadmap requirements
  • Continuous focus on mitigating project risk by tracking progress, contingency planning and acting on small signals with high urgency and timely escalation to prevent fire fighting

Qualifications

  • Experienced semiconductor professional with at least 5-10 years of relevant experience working for a major semiconductor company
  • 3+ years of hand`s on technical program/project management experience leading cross functional teams to develop broad market or custom mix-signal analog products for commercial, industrial or automotive applications.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience being part of Product line NPI functional teams as a hands-on product, test, validation, design, quality or related function
  • In depth understanding of new product introduction and product development flow from concept to production release. Exposure to APQP automotive process is a plus.
  • Knowledge of back-end semiconductor processes like wafer fabrication, Bump, Packaging and Assembly is an asset.
  • Working experience in a high-pressure environment, competing priorities and tight turnaround times.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and leadership skills; Ability to lead technical discussions and summarize outcome for executive level status reporting.
  • Proficient with industry standard project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, SharePoint, FMEA, Root Cause Analysis , Confluence, Microsoft OneNote
  • PMP certification is not a requirement but will be plus
