Job Description

  • Experienced professional within the APAC Compensation and Benefits team, who works both independently as well as a team member actively contributing to achieve team and departmental goals.
  • To provide expert-knowledge and support on wide-range of C&B matters within the APAC region.
  • To coordinate and support operational reward processes within the region (e.g. annual compensation planning, updating of benchmark data, bonus plans), conducting market analyses, and ensuring that Renesas remains competitive in terms of compensation and benefits offered within the region.
  • Use professional knowledge, along with company guidelines and company objectives to develop and provide solutions to day to day / project issues in effective ways.
  • Owning tasks from start to finish and taking on more complex work issues and projects.
  • To offer valuable ideas and suggestions on work items, projects and discussions, to aim continuous improvement.

 

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Annual Compensation Review Process: Coordinate and support the annual compensation review process within the APAC region, including project management, supporting the regional HR team, data preparation and analysis, and questions/queries.
  • Bonus Plan: Manage and support the coordination of Renesas Short-Term Incentive (STI) payments (annual and mid-year, where applicable) and support SIP related payments within the region, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery. Supporting the regional HR team on guidance of how the plan operates, data preparation and analysis, and questions/queries.
  • Annual pay-setting/benchmark review process: Coordinate and support the annual review of benchmark pay data to produce pay-data to be used in the APAC region. This will include analysis, and data preparation, recommendations to change, and training/support to help others use.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct comprehensive analyses of market trends and industry benchmarks to evaluate and enhance the competitiveness of Renesas compensation and benefit packages, proposing changes when necessary.
  • Legislation Monitoring: Stay up to date with changes in legislation related to compensation and benefit matters and recommend necessary changes to ensure compliance.
  • Works Council/Trade Unions/CBA requirements (where applicable): Support discussions with works council and trade unions on change items, producing data/evidence to help agreements to be made. Stay up to date with changes in agreements; interpreting and implementing any changes.
  • Reporting, Presentations, Communications and Training materials: Prepare and present reports offering data-driven insights to support decision-making. Update presentations and communications on reward topics for HR, Managers, and/or employees as require, and produce and deliver training materials to appropriate audiences as required.
  • Modelling and budgets: Provide modeling and accurate data to facilitate budget decisions related to compensation and benefits.
  • Collaboration with HR Teams: Work closely with other compensation and benefit team members, HR teams and HR leadership to design, implement, and administer effective salary structures and incentive programs in line with organizational objectives.
  • HR Support: Provide proactive and thorough service to HR team members, assisting with day-to-day queries, projects, and tasks related to compensation and benefits.
  • Initiative and Continuous Improvement: Demonstrate initiative in problem-solving and adapt to changing circumstances with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Project Contributions: Actively contribute to achieving team and organizational goals, participating in reward-related projects as assigned by the Reward Manager, VP Reward, HR Business Partners, or SVP HR.\

Qualifications

  • Degree level education in a HR, Business or related disciplines
  • HR/Reward qualification (or studying towards)
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in Compensation and Benefits
  • Keen interest in current Reward practices, good understanding and experience of market pricing and extensive experience with an international employee base
  • SuccessFactors Employee Central and reporting experience
  • Ability to create standard and complex ad-hoc reports
  • High level of numeracy and strong analytical skills
  • Advanced Excel (pivot tables, vlookups) and good Powerpoint and Word skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Ability to present to  all levels in the company and represent the company externally.
