Job Description

As a Sr ATE Hardware Engineer, you will be the subject matter expert on ATE (Automated Testing Equipment) hardware performance and use conditions. Working with Product Group engineering teams and Operations factory teams, you will be setting standards, identifying and benchmarking new technology, and lead execution of ATE hardware deployment for New Product release and revenue support.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Project manage logistic of ATE hardware deployment, from RFQ spec creation to NPI or production release
  2. Main contact with ATE hardware board and socket vendors for technical, commercial and operational aspects
  3. Own vendor tier strategy for boards, sockets based on technical, operational, quality and commercial benchmarks
  4. Manage spending budget for ATE hardware spending  
  5. Interface with Product Groups Engineering teams for forecast on ATE Hardware requirement and execute to support NPI timeline
  6. Interface with Factory Operations teams for forecast on ATE hardware requirement and execute to support revenue/capacity
  7. Own standardization of mechanical aspect of ATE hardware
  8. Benchmark and create standard for Socket and Pin Type technology
  9. Identify and execute areas for Gross Margin Improvement Initiative in areas related to ATE hardware
  10. Manage and provide improvement plan for systems or processes to request, procure, track, inventory management, health indicators of ATE hardware

Qualifications

Competency Requirements

  • Experience with semiconductor testing and the ATE hardware (board, socket)
  • Critical thinking and able to generate creative solutions
  • Organized and detail oriented
  • Has high level of integrity in creating and honoring commitments
  • Practice teamwork and team building, capable of working with team members across multiple time zones
  • Sense of urgency to meet internal and external customer requirements

 

Minimum  (Experience and Skills)

  • BS degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Material) or equivalent required
  • Minimum 5 years of work experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of Mechanical Engineering (understanding of thermal mechanical considerations and mechanical design)
  • Hands-on experience with semiconductor test floor environment and activities
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel and Power Point
  • Basic programming skills preferred (Python or equivalent)
  • Familiar with statistical analysis, process engineering (DOE, Document Control, 8D)
  • Strong communication skills

Additional Information

The expected annual pay range for this position is $110,000 - $150,000. This position is also eligible for bonus opportunities. Please note that final offer amount will be dependent on geographic location, applicable experience, and skillset of the candidate.
