Sr Business Planning Specialist
We are seeking a talented and motivated person to join as senior business planning, support business planning activities for India for India business division.
A successful candidate will have strong desire and ability to work in an entrepreneurial environment. The candidate will work closely with management, sales and engineers based in India while coordinating efforts with a global team. The Sr., Business Planning role is a strategic and highly analytical position within the India Business Division, responsible for driving data‑driven decision making, financial rigor, and cross‑functional alignment. This role partners closely with Sales, Product Groups (PGs), Finance, Operations, and Marketing to ensure revenue alignment, effective inventory management, and execution of tactical business initiatives. The individual will play a critical role in shaping Annual Operating Plans (AOP), forecasting, and managing business escalations to support growth and operational excellence in the India market.
Responsibilities
Business & Data Analysis: Analyse sales, imports, revenue trends, and operational data to generate actionable insights. Develop dashboards and reports to support business reviews and executive decision‑making. Identify risks and opportunities through deep analysis of market and business performance.
Financial Planning & Modelling: Partner with Finance to ensure forecast accuracy, variance analysis, and alignment to business objectives. Support financial models for AOP, revenue forecasting, headcount planning, and expense management. This might include scenario planning to support strategic and tactical decisions.
Revenue & Sales Alignment: Ensure revenue alignment across IFI, Sales teams and Product Groups (PGs). Support revenue pacing, gap analysis, and corrective action planning. Act as a key interface between IFI, Sales, PGs, and Finance to resolve forecast or execution gaps.
Inventory Management & Escalations: Oversee inventory planning and tracking for both samples and actual products. Proactively identify inventory risks, shortages, or excess and drive timely escalations. Coordinate with Supply Chain, Operations, and Sales to ensure optimal inventory availability.
Tactical Marketing & Business Support: Support tactical marketing initiatives including pricing escalations and approvals. Drive wafer forecast alignment with PGs and Operations to ensure supply‑demand balance. Enable rapid response to market changes through data‑backed recommendations.
Cross‑Functional Leadership: Lead and influence cross‑functional teams without direct authority. Drive structured problem solving and executive‑ready communication. Support continuous improvement in planning processes, tools, and governance.
Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or equivalent is a plus.
8–12+ years of experience in business planning, financial analysis, strategy, or related roles, preferably in technology, semiconductor, or manufacturing industries.
Strong expertise in financial modelling, forecasting, and data analysis.
Proven experience working with Sales, Product Groups, Finance, and Operations teams.
Strong understanding of inventory management, supply‑demand planning, and escalation management.
Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and executive communication skills.
High proficiency in Excel/financial modelling tools; experience with planning systems, BI tools, or ERP platforms is a plus.
Ability to operate in a fast‑paced, ambiguous environment and manage multiple priorities.
Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at senior levels.
Comfort and ability to collaborate and be effective in an entrepreneurial (fast-paced and ambiguous) environment
Desire and drive to interact with, as well as ability to build and maintain excellent relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
