Senior/Staff/Senior Staff/Principal Engineer - Performance Modelling/Verification

 We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineers to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performance modelling and verification of System-on-Chip (SoC) designs using Platform Architect and Simulation/Emulation Platforms. This role involves working closely with SoC architects and cross-functional teams to optimize SoC performance and ensure the successful delivery of high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Performance analysis/ bottleneck analysis of complex, high-performance multi domain System-on-Chips (SoCs)
• Work on hardware models of different levels of extraction, including performance models, RTL test benches and emulators, to find performance bottlenecks in the system.
• Develop SystemC TLM based performance models for Multi Die SoC designs including ARM Hunter/R52 CPUs, GPUs, NPUs, Network-on-Chip (NoC)/Interconnects, LPDDR5, high speed interface IPs like PCIe Gen 4/6, UCIe, USB3.0 and Video Processing IPs using Synopsys Platform Architect
• Develop RTL models on simulator/emulator using system performance verification methodologies like Cadence STG and SPA.
• Develop workloads for CPUs, NPUs, GPUs, Video IPs, PCIe, UCIe etc.
• Work closely with the architecture and design teams to explore architecture trade-offs related to system performance, area, and power consumption. Analyze and optimize system performance for all critical IPs in the system.
• Drive methodologies for improving turnaround time and enabling performance analysis early in the product development cycle.
• Provide technical mentorship to junior team members.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 5-15 years of strong hands on experience related to performance modelling and analysis.
• Proficiency in using Synopsys Platform Architect or Simulator/Emulator platforms for performance modelling and analysis
• Track record of driving cross-team initiatives and innovations related to modelling methodologies.
• Strong understanding of System-on-Chip (SoC) architecture including ARM CPUs, GPU, Network-on-Chip (NoC)/Interconnect architecture, DRAM memory subsystem architecture. Any understanding of AI HW accelerators like NPUs would be an added advantage.
• Strong understanding of AMBA Bus protocols like AXI, AHB, APB. Any understanding of hardware cache coherency interconnects like ARM CMN and CHI bus protocol would be an added advantage.
• Strong grasp of modelling standards and modelling eco-system.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
