Senior Software Test Engineer (f/m/d)

Principal Accountabilities:

• Responsible for defining, developing and improving the testing processes, selecting the appropriate tools and supervising the execution process for both automated and manual execution. 

• Derive test specifications out of functional specifications and utilize / develop test scripts for manual or automated (nightly) tests. 

• Creation of test automation framework and test automation related activities. 

• Participation in testing activities using various test methodologies (Black/White box, exploratory testing etc.) 

• Achieve targets for SDK release deadlines and follow the SDK release planning according to the SDK Vision and Roadmap. 

• Provide reporting for test activities and test execution results. 

• Integrate test automation activities in the used continuous integration flow. 

• Work closely with engineering teams. 

Qualifications

• Degree in software engineering/ Electrical Engineering

Knowledge 

• Track record (5+ years) in testing 

• Experience with Test Management suites and Test Methodologies 

• Good knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Shell, Bash) 

• Effective problem solving, proactive process owner and insightful test program developer 

• Excellent communication skills. 

Desirable 

• Multi-disciplinary focus, Customer support, digital hardware and embedded software. 

• Good written and verbal communication skills. 

• Human relations skills are important to convince others (e.g. in projects) based on technical knowledge and shows assertiveness to alert superiors/colleagues.\ 

• Bluetooth LE knowledge 

• Audio Testing knowledge
