Job Description

Senior Quality Manager for Renesas Palm Bay Florida location that develops and manufactures semiconductor components and modules.

The Palm Bay location manufacturers and qualifies both commercial and Hi-Rel products. Hi-Rel includes military, space, and Rad Hard products. Renesas operates a QML certified wafer fab and assembles some hermetic Hi-Rel packages. The Quality Manager is responsible for managing quality control and assurance activities associated with the wafer fab and assembly processes.

Quality manager is responsible for the overall quality system, working with customers and suppliers locally.

Quality Processes the Quality Manager is responsible for include but not limited to:

Document Control

Change Control, Product Changes Notices (PCN’s)

Internal Audits to ISO, IATF, and Mil specifications

Reviewing Quality Control data (QCI)

Calibration

Control of non-conforming material

Communication with the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA)

Point of contact for certification and customer audits


Qualifications

Candidate must have work experience in military electronics quality control and assurance.

Desirable characteristics:

  • Certified as an auditor in ISO, automotive, and/or military quality systems.
  • Experience in quality assurance at a semiconductor company.
  • Experience with Military electronics.
  • Experience with automotive semiconductors.
  • Participation in certification and customer audits.
  • Knowledgeable about semiconductor wafer fabrication.
  • Knowledgeable about semiconductor packaging (hermetic a plus).
  • Knowledgeable about semiconductor reliability testing.
  • Experience with change review boards and PCN’s.
  • Knowledgeable about semiconductor testing including statistical yield and bin limits.
  • Knowledgeable about root cause/corrective action determination methodologies.

Education:

Bachelor of Science (Engineering desirable)

Experience:

  • 10 years of progressive experience including Quality Management. Experience with automotive and military electronics.
  • It is understood that it may be difficult to find a candidate that meets all of the objectives above and we will consider candidates that partially fulfill the objectives.
  • Due to the military aspect of this position it requires candidate is a U.S. Citizen.
