Job Description

Job Purpose & Dimensions: 

  • We are looking for an experienced and motivated SAP Integration Developer to join our team and help us deliver high-quality integration solutions using SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI), SAP Process Integration/Process Orchestration (PI/PO), and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). As an SAP Integration Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining integration scenarios between various SAP and non-SAP systems. You will also collaborate with other developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure that the integration solutions meet the business requirements and adhere to the best practices.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Requirements Analysis: Understand business processes and integration needs to create effective solutions within SAP CPI, SAP PI/PO, and SAP BTP.
  • Integration Design: Design integration scenarios, mapping data between systems, and defining communication protocols to meet business requirements.
  • Integration Development: Develop integration flows using SAP CPI, SAP PI/PO, and SAP BTP tools, ensuring proper connectivity, data transformation, and error handling.
  • Configuration and Customization: Configure SAP CPI, SAP PI/PO, and SAP BTP components according to project requirements, and if necessary, develop custom solutions to address unique integration challenges.
  • Testing and Validation: Conduct thorough testing of integration solutions, ensuring data accuracy, system compatibility, and adherence to business rules. Collaborate with testing teams for end-to-end validation.
  • Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation for integration designs, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures. This helps in knowledge transfer and future maintenance.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with business users, IT teams, and other stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and address concerns throughout the integration lifecycle.
  • Troubleshooting and Support: Investigate and resolve integration issues promptly. Provide support during and after the implementation phase to ensure the stability of integration solutions.
  • Monitoring and Optimization: Set up monitoring mechanisms to track integration performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize integration flows for efficiency.
  • Stay Updated: Keep abreast of SAP CPI, SAP PI/PO, and SAP BTP updates, best practices, and industry trends to enhance your skills and ensure the adoption of the latest features for optimal integration solutions.
  • Security Considerations: Implement and adhere to security standards for data transmission and storage within integration solutions.

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of experience in SAP integration development, with a focus on SAP CPI, SAP PI/PO, and SAP BTP.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing integration solutions using SAP CPI, SAP PI/PO, and SAP BTP for diverse business scenarios.
  • Proven record of accomplishment of successful SAP CPI, SAP PI/PO, and SAP BTP implementations, including end-to-end integration project delivery.
  • In-depth understanding of SAP systems and their interactions, including familiarity with various SAP modules and components.
  • Solid experience with middleware technologies and a strong grasp of integration patterns and best practices.
  • Proficiency in programming languages like Java or Groovy, as SAP CPI, SAP PI/PO, and SAP BTP often involve custom scripting for advanced integration scenarios.
  • Hands-on experience in configuring SAP CPI, SAP PI/PO, and SAP BTP components, mapping data structures, and transforming messages between different systems.
  • Experience in conducting comprehensive testing, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing, to ensure the reliability of integration solutions.
  • Strong documentation skills, including the ability to create detailed integration design documents, configuration guides, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve integration issues efficiently, along with a proactive approach to troubleshooting.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
