Job Description

Taking direct ownership of complex, large scale projects (Silicon, Software, associated HW, …) making sure that:

  • Project deliverables meet Product Requirement Specification
  • Project deliverables are in time
  • Costs are in budget

Critical aspects of the role include execution on given timelines (time-to-market), project budget responsibility, monitoring and reporting of project progress, comparison of plans against goals (technical and commercial) as well as overall project responsibility in leading and managing cross functional teams in multiple locations (project teams will be assembled from the resource pool and will return to the pool at the end of the project).

  • Support business plan set up including setting of project budget
  • Full accountability for given projects

  • Deliver to requirements specifications
  • Timeline
  • Defining clear project KPI, monitoring and triggering associated actions
  • Establish, drive and maintain the overall project plan including efficient regular reporting to both internal and external teams
  • Define all milestones and track on a regular basis. Highlight issues and derive options for resolution. Ensure risk analysis is completed and maintained including options and trigger dates
  • Organize and hold regular status meetings. Derive regular reports including management and customer updates.
  • Lead and manage cross functional teams across multiple locations to deliver the program. This includes but is not limited to:
  • Marketing
  • Design Engineering (Silicon and Software)
  • IP procurement / insourcing
  • Operations (Quality, Product Engineering, Test Engineering, Planning, …)
  • Maintain project budgets and highlight changes versus the plan. Hold regular reviews on product profitability (gross margin) and derive corrective actions
  • Driving clear decision making including proper stakeholder management and recording

Qualifications

  • 3 years+ experience of managing large, multi-disciplined teams
  • 3 years+ experience of successfully managing complex (IC) design projects.
  • Proof of working with satellite teams in different locations/countries
  • Proof of being able to work with 3rd parties and/or external contract resource companies
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent customer and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Gravitas, strength of opinion and effective influencing skills
  • Strong presentation skills to present concise program status
  • Significant experience in semiconductor/engineering environment
  • Experience/awareness of the of IC design process including physical design
  • Experience/awareness of the of SW design process, especially embedded SW design
  • Experience of working with IC fabrication, assembly and test organizations
  • Technical acumen with ability to manage technical issues within a return on investment or risk management framework
  • Strong commercial awareness
  • Language skills – English is essential, Dutch and/or German desirable

Additional Information

This position is subject to the Collective Agreement of the Electrical and Electronics Industry, employment group G (https://www.feei.at/leistungen/informations-service/mindestlohne-und-gehalter). The monthly salary is paid 14 times a year. However, we offer a higher salary depending on your experience and qualifications.
