Product Operation Manager
Operations Engineering Division (OED): OED is a World Class operational team delivering best in class costs and supply agility to drive customer satisfaction through on time delivery of quality components. Within OED, the Product Operations team is driving the company's gross margins by delivering best in class yields and operation efficiencies by delivering quality products to the customer.
Job Description: We are seeking a Proto/Product Ops Manager to support the growth of our India Offices. Looking for a high energy leader to build, lead and motivate a team in India. This individual will be overseeing daily operations, setting goals, managing budgets and resources. Candidates will need to recruit, train employees and monitor performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with Renesas business units, supply chain and external vendors to ensure samples are built on schedule and delivered on time.
- Plan and track the shipment of products in coordination with internal departments to meet customer requirements.
- Work with freight forwarders, carriers, and warehouse teams to ensure timely pick-up and delivery of goods
- Prepare and manage shipping documents such as invoices, packing lists, Airway Bill, and customs paperwork.
- Resolve conflicts or issues related to delivery delays or product damage.
- Generate regular reports for management on costs, efficiency, and delays.
- Work closely with the procurement team to ensure the POs in placed for external vendors and OSATs.
- Material planning, scheduling, expediting and tracking for Research and Development activities
- Manage systems to capture and track material plans, inventory and status
- Manage purchase request for R&D materials
- Identify critical path, and propose risk mitigation and contingency strategies for delays and shortages
- Interface with external vendors to ensure that proto requirements are clearly communicated and met.
- Ensure all proto build documentation is complete, accurate, and up to date.
- Manage backend product yield daily monitoring.
- Manage disposition for floor level issue resolution, Retest rejects, Visual Inspections, Basic FA and Data analysis
- Assist in test program checkout at factory
- Safe Ramp Monitoring of the execution
- Operations related yield loss Identification
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Industrial Engineering is preferred
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in supporting logistics operations and material planning
- Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Communicate effectively and reporting skills
- Knowledge in semiconductor proto sample manufacturing process
