Job Description

Seeking an experienced product definition engineer to work with the Renesas Memory Interface architecture team to create specifications for cutting edge integrated circuits, with a focus on Power Management ICs (PMICs).  This is a position with a unique opportunity to drive the direction of the entire industry.

Work with interdisciplinary teams throughout Renesas, as well as industry partners and standards organizations, to create specifications for mixed-signal integrated circuits.

Represent Renesas in JEDEC, actively participating in meetings as the subject matter expert on PMICs.

Review proposals from standards organizations to identify issues, collect feedback from internal teams, and prepare presentations to clearly communicate Renesas’s position.

Influence the development of industry standards by preparing and presenting proposals to standards organizations.

Sponsor full industry-standard specifications as the primary author, creating, maintaining, and updating them with material approved by the standards committees.

Create and maintain internal specification documents, collating requirements from standards organizations like JEDEC with internal requirements created through close collaboration with internal Design teams.

Work closely with technical writers to generate documents, and review output to ensure accuracy


Qualifications

Expertise in switching regulator design and implementation

Experience with Analog Design and Power IC Engineering (including Test Engineering, Applications, and/or Field Apps)

Experience with architecting mixed-signal designs and writing device-level or sub-system specifications

Excellent oral and written communications skills

Experience with Adobe FrameMaker, Adobe Illustrator and Visio is a plus

10+ years of direct experience in ASIC/IC design/architecture

Education:

Masters in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent with 10+ years of experience

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent with 15+ years of experience

Additional Information

The expected annual pay range for this position is $172,000 - $240,000. This position is also eligible for bonus pay. Please note that final offer amount will be dependent on geographic location, applicable experience, and skillset of the candidate.
