Principal Device Design & Integration Engineer
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Principal Device Design and Integration Engineer to join our team, specializing in GaN (Gallium Nitride) technology. With at least 10 years of experience, you will play a critical role in the design, integration, and product engineering of GaN devices. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions that meet both customer requirements and industry standards. In addition to leading the design and integration efforts, you will also support data-driven analysis, using characterization and reliability data to inform design decisions, optimize performance, and ensure manufacturability. You will be responsible for driving projects from concept to production, ensuring robust design, seamless integration, and continuous improvement across product lifecycles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and integration of GaN (Gallium Nitride) power and/or RF semiconductor devices from concept to production.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including process engineering, packaging, reliability, and tests to deliver optimized device solutions.
- Drive product engineering activities such as yield improvement, process optimization, and design-for-manufacturability (DFM).
- Perform data analysis on electrical characterization, reliability, and manufacturing data to guide design improvements and root-cause issues.
- Own and manage project execution, including planning, milestone tracking, risk mitigation, and cross-team coordination.
- Collaborate with the TCAD team to develop and validate TCAD models, supporting design iterations.

- Contribute to reliability assessments, including stress testing (HTRB, HTOL, TDDB, SCS) and failure analysis.
- Work closely with device engineering, manufacturing teams and backend engineering teams to ensure successful product development and production ramp-up.
- Drive process and device optimization to meet technology requirements.
- Facilitate process improvements and/or fixes for problems of poor reliability or low yield.
- Master’s or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, Materials Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience working with GaN technology (Preferably E-Mode GaN)
- Experience in device-process co-optimization, working closely with foundry or internal fab teams.
- Hands-on experience in electrical characterization, reliability testing, and interpreting wafer-/device-level test data
- Proven ability to manage and execute cross-functional projects, with experience in planning, scheduling, and risk management.
- Experience supporting product engineering efforts, including yield analysis, root-cause investigation for new product Qualification
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to lead technical discussions across diverse teams.
