Principal Application Engineer
- MSEE with minimum 4 years of relevant professional experience or BSEE with minimum years of relevant professional experience or Ph.D with relevant professional research in the field of power electronics industry.
- Previous application engineer experience in power semiconductor industry is preferred.
- Hands-on design experience of Telecom & Server Power with MV MOSFET, HV MOSFET, driver is preferred.
- Design knowledge of the circuit for power electronic systems including gate driver design turn-on/off switching behavior, miller effect, circuit parasitic and loss calculation.
- Excellent understanding of different topologies and power electronics control theory and power losses of the power device in power conversion systems.
- Familiarity with at least one calculation/simulation and PCB design tools.
- Strong written and communication skills with experience in specification creation, technical writing and customer presentation.
- Principle Application Engineer for Converter System with the owner ship of MV MOSFE and HV MOSFET and the application segment ownership of converter systems including Server & Telecom Power, Consumer Power, Industrial Power and etc..
- Work with customers, marketing and product managers to define product roadmap and product enhancements.
- Propose improvements and introduce ideas for new products and system solutions
- Participate in generating TRS (Target requirement specification) together with Product Marketing
- Participate in new product development projects
- Design new test setups for device/technology characterization
- Perform competitive benchmarking at device and system levels
- Use calculation and simulation tools for application analysis and circuit concept evaluation including the switching characteristics, power loss and thermal analysis.
- Prepare technical collateral including application notes, technical papers and customer presentations.
- Participate in preparing training materials for FAEs and Sales force globally
- Respond to technical inquiries from existing and prospective customers with properdocumentation and timely feedback/analysis.
