IP Development Program Manager

Job Description

【Background of the Recruitment】

As automotive SoCs continue to increase in functionality and scale, SoC development has become a highly complex effort that involves the parallel development and integration of numerous IPs, such as CPUs, high‑speed interfaces, memory, AI/video, and functional safety.
In the R‑Car series as well, multiple IP developments are progressing simultaneously across multiple projects. In addition to individual IP development activities, the importance of organizing and coordinating inter‑IP dependencies and issues from a cross‑project perspective continues to grow.
Under these circumstances, there is an increasing need for a role that connects individual IP teams, works closely with development sites to understand the real situation on the ground, and organizes key discussion points and issues in order to support stable and well‑coordinated project execution.
To address this need, we are seeking an IP Development Program Manager who is not limited to a specific IP, but who can cross‑functionally organize progress and issues across multiple IPs and projects, and contribute to the overall feasibility and smooth execution of development activities.

【Job Description】

  • Cross‑functionally manage and organize progress and issues across multiple IPs and multiple development projects for automotive SoCs (R‑Car series)
  • Engage directly with individual IP teams and project members,
organizing progress, discussion points, and issues through hands‑on interaction with development sites
  • Support coordination and decision‑making by considering dependencies across IPs and projects
  • Collaborate with domestic and overseas development sites (India, Vietnam, etc.), supporting project execution within a global IP development environment

※The full details regarding your position scope as well as any future potential changes in work location and job scope will be provided during the interview process.

Qualifications

【MUST】

  • Hands‑on experience in semiconductor, SoC, or IP development projects,
working across multiple themes and stakeholders
  • Experience engaging with development teams on the ground,
organizing progress, discussion points, and issues, and sharing them with relevant stakeholders
  • Experience supporting coordination and decision‑making with an understanding of
relationships and dependencies across IPs or projects
  • Basic understanding of SoC/IP development flows, including design, verification, and evaluation
  • Comfortable participating in technical meetings and discussions in English, such as organizing discussion points, aligning on issues and priorities, and reaching agreement on assumptions with overseas sites or external partners
  • Japanese language proficiency at a business level

【WANT】

  • Experience in program management or project management for SoC or large‑scale IP development
  • Experience handling multiple IPs and multiple projects in parallel, including priority setting and trade‑off analysis
  • Experience contributing to the organization and resolution of technical or quality‑related issues by involving multiple stakeholders
  • Experience collaborating with overseas development sites (e.g., India, Vietnam)
  • Experience contributing to improvements in development processes or project execution methods
