Impedance Sensor Application Engineer (f/m/d)


Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and technically strong Impedance Sensor Application Engineer to join
our Application Engineering team. In this role, you will support the development, evaluation, and
deployment of impedance-based sensing solutions for a variety of customer applications. Working
closely with customers, R&D, Product Engineering, and Sales you will help to develop application-
specific solutions and ensure successful sensor integration.


Key Responsibilities
• Develop, evaluate and validate applications using impedance-based sensing technologies
and measurement methods.
• Support customers with sensor selection, system integration, testing, troubleshooting, and
technical guidance throughout the design cycle.
• Design and execute application experiments to characterize sensor performance and validate
application requirements.
• Analyze impedance, electrical, and sensor measurement data and communicate findings
through technical reports and presentations.
• Collaborate with Hardware, Firmware, Software, and Product Engineering Teams to resolve
application challenges and improve customer experience.
• Develop application notes, test procedures, technical documentation, and customer-facing
materials.
• Conduct laboratory testing, product demonstrations, proof-of-concept activities, and product
evaluations.
• Investigate application and performance issues, identify root causes, and recommend
corrective actions.
• Support product launches, customer design-in activities, and technical sales activities.
• Travel to customers or other Renesas sites when required.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Instrumentation,Mechatronics, Physics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with sensors, impedance measurement systems, analog
  • electronics, instrumentation, or related technologies.
  • Understanding of electrical measurement techniques and signal analysis.
  • Hands-on experience using laboratory instrumentation such as oscilloscopes, multimeters,
  • impedance analyzers, network analyzers, or LCR meters.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts
  • to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and collaborate effectively within cross-functional
  • engineering teams
