Job Description

  • Team management and motivation.  This will include the mentoring, coaching, training and development of all new team members.  Performance management throughout the year and end of year appraisal providing motivation, mentoring and coaching and regular feedback.  Act as the Go To for all team members ensuring that we are supporting them with their learning styles.
  • New Country Insertion.  Supporting the company APAC transformation programme, working with Operations HR Director and regional HRBP teams to understand tasks, priorities and opportunities to streamline and standardise HR processes transferring to the HUB.. 
  • Workload Management.  Identify upcoming workloads and ensure that resourcing is available to complete within reasonable timeframes and cover is available during times of absence.  Supporting the recruitment of new team members.  Structuring the work according to team expertise, interest and skills.  Noting where soft and hard copy documentation is required for your allocated countries according to local practice.  Tracking employee life cycle events as appropriate ie. Onboarding, immigration.  Work activities may differ by country.
  • Data Integrity.  Quality of Data is paramount. Ensure all data input and maintenance for SF (HRIS system) personal and organisational data, employee records and files are managed in a timely manner by the team. 
  • Inbox Management.  Ensure excellent inbox management with team to ensure accurate responses are provided, expected response times are met and that local HR can clearly review status of queries
  • Problem Solving.  Apply skills to work through operational issues arising to find the root cause of a problem and identify the best solutions.  Work with relevant HR teams to implement solutions as required.  Support team members on complex HR issues such as immigration requirements (Work visas, permits, certificates etc) and business transfers.
  • Regular liaison with local regional HR teams to gain feedback and input on current, new or improved services.  Help bring HUB and Regional teams together to gain knowledge and familiarity with allocated country(ies) best practices according to local legislation.
  • System and data validation support for allocated countries.  Provide reports as required for data validation and for local HR teams as required i.e. attendance and absence statistics, new hires, terminations, headcount, transfers etc
  • Process alignment & maintenance.  Meet regularly with other HUB Supervisors.  Maintain global operations task list of processes and activities performed for each country and latest process SOPs (standard operation procedures) and guides for each with clearly identified variances where local regulations dictate.  Ensure wherever appropriate that these align across the different regions.
  • Project Lead.  Lead on small HR projects that will lead to continued improvement activities within the Region and Global Operations Function.the team and our HRBP & HR CoE customers in the region

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years experience of global shared service environment
  • 5-7 years HR experience
  • Have led a small team and demonstrated ability to mentor and train others
  • Good stakeholder management skills bringing alignment and clear direction across teams on small projects
  • Excellent English, Mandarin and Malay language skills (other APAC languages an advantage but not necessary)
  • Good working knowledge of the Microsoft package inc Excel, Powerpoint, Word, Outlook
  • Confident working with HRIS systems and data including a good working knowledge of (SuccessFactors is used within Renesas but not essential – training will be given)
  • An eye for detail and use of data validation methods
  • Good knowledge of working through a process workflow and identifying improvements to streamline, standardize and simplify – any lean experience would be an advantage
