We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director to lead our Strategic Sales Team, responsible for managing top-tier Global Strategic Accounts in the America region. The successful candidate will own revenue growth and will support the team to drive Design-in/Design wins across the region. This role requires strategic thinking, the ability to inspire and motivate sales teams, and the capacity to cultivate and strengthen relationships with executive leadership, engineering leadership, and our Business Units. The Director will play a pivotal role in driving future growth by expanding the sales teams and focusing on strategic growth areas for our customers. Strong business acumen is essential to enhance Renesas' presence and success with strategic accounts.
Candidate needs to be located in Detroit, Michigan.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team.
- Set clear performance goals and provide regular feedback to ensure team success.
- Foster a collaborative and results-driven team environment.
- Strategic Planning and Execution:
- Drive the team to develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and market penetration.
- Monitor industry trends and market dynamics to adjust strategies as needed.
- Expand the sales team to support strategic growth areas within the customer base.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing and potential strategic accounts.
- Develop and execute strategies to increase market share and customer engagement.
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with executive and engineering leadership at customer organizations.
- Collaborate with internal Business Units to align customer goals and deliver solutions.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Proven experience in a senior sales leadership role, managing strategic accounts and sales teams.
- Technical background with the ability to understand and communicate complex technical concepts.
- Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels.
- Demonstrated success in achieving revenue targets and driving business growth.
- Ability to travel as needed to meet with customers and sales teams across the America region.
