Job Description

Renesas is actively seeking an experienced and dynamic technical leader to fill the role of Director of Verification Engineering in the CAP division (Power Product Group).  The Consumer-ASSP -Power Division (CAP) is part of the Power Product Group (PWR) product line, developing high‑performance digital multiphase voltage regulators for the consumer portable markets.

This newly created position provides a unique opportunity to shape the Verification CAP engineering organization in Bangalore and establish the benchmark for the CAP division.  This role will be responsible for leading a diverse team of engineering professionals. The mission is to create a best‑in‑class Digital and AMS Verification engineering organization, recognized for engineering rigor, product quality and technical support.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Lead, mentor, develop and grow a diverse team of Verification engineering experts worldwide.
  • Build a high-performing engineering organization by attracting and retaining top technical talent, fostering individualized technical career development, and nurturing future leaders.
  • Streamline and continuously optimize the engineering roles to drive accountability and results.
  • Own verification at the top-level, including the ability to interface to customers on all aspects of verification.  This includes developing best-in-class processes and procedures, to improve customer experience and accelerate time-to-market.  Collaborate with the product design team to ensure best-in-class quality.
  • Establish best-practices for the development of superior product collaterals, including robust implementation/verification to support implementation of our products in customer systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, systems, software, test engineering and project management to define, design, and develop world-class products and solutions.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the developing engineering organization.
  • Stay abreast of technology trends.  Understand customer roadmaps, technology trends and future needs.  Develop recommendations and competitive features to keep our products and solutions at the cutting edge through continuous improvement.
  • Establish and foster relationships with technical leaders across the company, to exchange best practices and leverage existing capabilities within Renesas to improve our applications engineering operations.

Qualifications

  • BSEE or related fields with 15+ years of experience in design verification engineering.  MSEE is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of power management verification.  Experience in consumer, data center, servers, telecom, networking and/or computing markets.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.  Strong ability to make data-driven decisions and effectively use key performance indicators to measure success.
  • High energy, self-motivated, and go-getter attitude, with a bias towards action.
  • Exceptional communications and interpersonal skills, with the ability to be personable and drive process and organizational changes.  Experience with managing change that resulted in positive outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills.  Ability to present complex concepts in a clear, concise, and effective way.
  • Ability to collaborate and be effective in a fast-paced environment.
