Director of Facilities & General Affairs, APAC
The Director, Facilities & GA – APAC is responsible for leading and managing all facilities and workplace operations across the Asia-Pacific region except Japan and reporting to the General Affairs Global Head.
This role ensures safe, compliant, cost-effective, and scalable facilities operations that support business growth, workforce needs, and corporate standards, while partnering closely with HR, Finance, IT, EHS, and regional/site leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Regional Facilities Leadership
- Provide strategic and operational leadership for all facilities activities across APAC sites (offices, R&D, manufacturing-related offices, and other locations)
- Develop and execute regional facilities strategies aligned with global policies and business objectives
- Act as the regional point of contact for facilities-related decision-making and escalation
Facilities Operations & Maintenance
- Oversee day-to-day facilities management, including building operations, maintenance, security, cleaning, catering, and vendor services
- Ensure consistent service levels and operational excellence across all APAC locations
- Drive standardization of processes, contracts, and service models across the region
Workplace Strategy & Projects
- Lead office openings, closures, consolidations, relocations, and expansions
- Manage workplace-related capital projects, including fit-outs, renovations, and infrastructure upgrades
- Support workplace strategy initiatives such as back-to-office programs, hybrid working environments, and space optimization
Financial & Vendor Management
- Own and manage the APAC facilities budget (Opex and Capex), including forecasting and cost control
- Lead vendor sourcing, contract negotiation, and performance management
- Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining required service quality and compliance
Compliance, Employee Health & Safety and Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, company policies, and global EHS standards
- Partner with EHS teams to manage workplace safety, emergency preparedness, and risk mitigation
- Oversee audit readiness and corrective actions related to facilities and workplace compliance
Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Serve as a key business partner to HR, Finance, IT, Legal, Procurement, and site leaders
- Communicate effectively with senior leadership on regional facilities status, risks, and initiatives
- Support talent growth, engagement, and productivity through effective workplace solutions
- Experience in semiconductor, manufacturing, or high-tech industries
- Familiarity with APAC regulatory environments and cultural differences
- Experience leading regional or global transformation initiatives (e.g., workplace strategy, BTO, cost optimization)
- Professional certifications related to facilities management (e.g., IFMA, RICS, PMP) are a plus
