Strategic Leadership
Develop and execute the overall strategy for yield analytics solutions, aligning with organizational objectives and production goals.
Lead initiatives that integrate advanced data analytics, machine learning, and AI technologies into the yield improvement process.
Drive innovation by identifying emerging trends and technologies in data analytics and applying them to yield enhancement.
Foundry Ops yield team interface to IT team for yield tool definition and collaborating for yield tool user acceptance testing and roll-out.
Technical leadership – owner of Renesas foundry yield and support all product groups
Drive all Renesas foundries to improve yield to achieve cost saving goals
Identify foundry yield improvement opportunities by collaborating with PG design/ PE /TE / Process Tech / QA and foundry management
Benchmark foundry defect driven yield across the board.
Drive cutting edge technology yield improvement to achieve fast ramp and cost efficiency.
Support NPI gate defect driven yield model optimization
Provide foundry excursion and critical Tier 1 customer RMA data analysis support to ensure continuity of the supply and customers’ satisfactions.
Team Management
Provide direction and oversight on projects, ensuring that deliverables meet quality standards and deadlines.
Daily monitor team’s data loading activities to ensure on time and accurate data in the yield analytic platforms
Facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing within the team and across departments.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting
Provide regular updates and reports to senior management, highlighting successes, challenges, and opportunities for further improvement.
Utilize dashboards and visualization tools to present complex data insights in a clear and actionable manner.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Primary interface to R&D for NPI foundry safe launch, foundry excursion data and customer RMA data analytics
Present foundry safe launch data / report to Tier 1 customer
Drive foundry excursion, CIP, Tier 1 customer RMA discussions with QA, foundry, FTM , Design and Product/test engineering
Attend / drive weekly foundry to PG interface meetings to provide valuable guidance inputs on yield improvement
10+ years of experience in semiconductor foundry yield improvement, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
Proven experience in developing and deploying analytics solutions that drive yield improvement in an NPI and manufacturing environment.
Foundry process and yield enhancement experience and familiar with foundry yield improvement methodologies.
Strong track record of managing and leading global and cross-functional teams to achieve strategic objectives.
Strong knowledge of semiconductor foundry manufacturing processes and yield analysis methodologies.
Good communication skills
Strong leadership and able to influence
Expertise in data analytics platforms (e.g., Power BI, JMP, Exensio ) and programming languages (e.g., Python, R).
Deep understanding of machine learning algorithms, statistical modeling, and their application in manufacturing yield improvement.
Deep understanding of foundry process (advanced logic FinFet and BCD)
This role plays a crucial leadership role in semiconductor NPI and manufacturing, focusing on the development, deployment, and management of yield data analytics solutions aimed at driving yield improvements across the NPI and manufacturing process. The role involves managing functionally a team of data experts and analysts to develop innovative methodologies that provide actionable insights into NPI and production foundry yield performance. The director collaborates closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, industrial yield platform suppliers, IT and operations, to ensure that analytics solutions are aligned with business goals and improve production outcomes. This position is a hybrid role three days a week in office
