Job Description

We seek a highly skilled and experienced technical leader to lead our DevOps & SW Methodology team and drive the implementation of best SW development practices within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, cloud infrastructure, and software development methodologies, and a good understanding of IT infrastructure. The candidate will drive continuous improvement and automation with strategic thinking, and proven leadership abilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement DevOps strategies and best practices to improve software development and deployment processes.
  • Lead and mentor a team of DevOps engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows and enhance communication between development and operations departments.
  • Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure, automation tools, and monitoring systems to ensure the scalability and reliability of our software applications.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and technologies to continuously improve our DevOps practices.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency, performance, and security of our software systems.
  • Implement software development methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Kanban to streamline the development process and improve collaboration between teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 12+ years of experience in software development, IT operations, or related field
  • Proven experience leading and managing DevOps teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Experience with automation tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet) and CI/CD pipelines
  • Familiarity with software development methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Kanban
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills

Additional Information

 

The expected annual pay range for this position is $216K-$324K. This position is also eligible for STI  bonus opportunities and commission pay.  Please note that the final offer amount will be dependent on the geographic location, applicable experience, and skillset of the candidate.
