Renesas is looking for a talented individual for an internship working in the Central Verification team supporting product groups under the Automotive Video and Power Business Division. This Internship can be located in: Milpitas, CA, Mooresville, NC or Dallas, TX.
Interns will work under the guidance of a mentor to assist in exploring and developing automation approaches to design verification. The intern will work on the development of automation proof of concept and infrastructure. This will involve developing code and scripts to auto generate testbench components to accelerate the verification. The candidate will use their knowledge and creativity to complete assignments with the existing team.
Responsibilities:
- Understand the objectives and workflow of mixed-signal design verification.
- Support activities in setting up testbench in System Verilog/Verilog AMS.
- Assist in creating and maintaining models of Analog blocks.
- Support coding of simulation infrastructure using SystemVerilog.
- Develop and use advanced automation approaches to accelerate and streamline verification.
- Work diligently to accomplish project goals and meet schedule requirements.
- Drive towards continuous personal, team, project, and Company improvement
- Currently pursuing a BSEE, MSEE or PhD in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
- Coursework in Electrical Engineering fundamentals, analog circuits, and digital logic design
- Knowledge of Python / Verilog / System Verilog / Verilog AMS and familiarity with UNIX environment.
- Great attitude, self-motivation, and excellent teamwork are a must.
- Must be able to work independently with limited supervision and work closely with a team.
- Must be very organized, self-motivated, and passionate about the work.
- Tools: Cadence AMS Design Environment and Tool proficiency is preferred.

The expected hourly pay range in California for this position is $30.25 - $41.25. Please note that final offer amount will be dependent on geographic location, applicable experience, and skillset of the candidate.
