Job Description

The is responsible for the management, configuration, and administration of various business tools and project management platforms, primarily focusing on Microsoft Project Portfolio Management (PPM) Suite, Stages, Siemens - Polarion, and Planview - Adaptivework. This role plays a key part in ensuring that these tools effectively support the project management lifecycle and business operations, including planning, execution, reporting, and tracking across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

· Tool Administration & Configuration:

o Administer, configure, and maintain Microsoft PPM Suite, Stages, Polarion, and Planview AdaptiveWork to support project management processes.

o Customize tools to meet the specific needs of different business units or projects, including workflows, reports, dashboards, and user interfaces.

o Manage user access, permissions, and security settings for each tool.

· Support & Troubleshooting:

o Provide technical support to end-users, including troubleshooting issues, answering questions, and resolving technical problems related to the project management tools.

o Coordinate with vendor support teams for advanced troubleshooting and issue resolution.

· Integration & Optimization:

o Ensure the seamless integration of the PPM suite and other tools with existing business systems, such as ERP, CRM, and other data management systems.

o Identify opportunities to enhance the functionality and efficiency of the tools by recommending and implementing updates, new features, or third-party integrations.

· Training & Documentation:

o Develop and deliver training sessions, materials, and user guides to ensure users are proficient in using the tools.

o Create and maintain documentation on system configurations, best practices, and troubleshooting procedures.

· Project Management Support:

o Collaborate with project management teams to ensure that project plans, schedules, resource management, and progress tracking are effectively supported by the tools.

· Continuous Improvement:

o Stay up to date with the latest developments in project management tools and technologies, recommending upgrades or changes as necessary.

o Participate in tool evaluations, testing, and implementation of new project management solutions as needed.


Qualifications

Qualifications

· Experience:

o 2+ years of experience in administering business tools or project management platforms, with experience in one or more of (Microsoft PPM Suite, Planview AdaptiveWork, Stages, Polarion).

o Experience in supporting large-scale projects and managing project management tools across multi-departmental teams.

o Proficiency in creating custom analytics, dashboards, and reports within the tool to provide actionable insights and support data-driven decision-making.

· Skills:

o In-depth knowledge of Polarion ALM (or similar tools like JIRA, Confluence, etc.).

o Experience in system configuration, customization, and administration of the tool.

o Understanding of the end-to-end lifecycle management and associated methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).

o Integration Management

o Knowledge of integrating Polarion with other systems (e.g., CI/CD tools, version control systems like Git, and other ALM tools).

o Familiarity with APIs for creating custom integrations.

o Scripting and Automation

o Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, or tool-specific scripting) for automating repetitive tasks.

o Ability to create custom reports, dashboards, and workflows.

o Database and Server Management

o Familiarity with the underlying database structure (e.g., SQL or NoSQL databases used by the tool).

o Basic knowledge of server environments and hosting (e.g., Linux, Windows Server, or cloud-hosted environments).

o Data Management

o Strong understanding of data configuration, migration, and reporting.

o Ability to manage large datasets and ensure data accuracy and consistency.

o Technical Troubleshooting

o Strong problem-solving skills to debug tool-related issues.

o Understanding of log analysis and performance tuning.
