Job Description

  • Port BEH models from various locations into the 28nm training workarea and verify they are functional, and fix any issues.
  • Port BEH models from Verilog to systemVerilog for true floating point performance.
  • Improve BEH models for non-linear effects, and more parameterizable controls.
  • Port system level testbenches of higher level PLLs to the 28nm training workarea, and document the testbench and BEH simulation with a corresponding WORD document with screenshots etc.
  • Connect the new BEH models in various system level configurations, and verify the performance of those systems. Ie. Basic PLL, Sub-sampling PLL, and Sampling PLL.
  • Time permitting, additional tasks could include
    • writing Python scripts to automate bench data collection.
    • Collecting bench data.

Qualifications

  • Understanding of basic electronic principles.
  • Knowledge of basic IC analog and digital circuits.
  • Familiar with programming languages such as Python, Verilog, and SystemVerilog.
  • Strong desire to learn and explore new skills and technologies.
  • Team player with good communication skills.

Company Description

Job Description: To further strengthen the analog team at our Ottawa site, we are looking for an electrical and computer engineering co-op student to work on mixed signal design modelling. During the co-op term in analog R&D team, you will learn the analog and mixed signal simulation environment, and system Verilog analog behavioral modelling language.
