You will develop highly optimized software for proof-of-concept implementation of automotive IVI, cockpit, and digital cluster applications on the Renesas R-Car SoC devices, exploiting GPU, a DSP, display technologies, and virtualized or para-virtualized environments. You will further grow the scope of those libraries for use in generic cockpit and IVI application contexts your main responsibilities will be in the following areas:
- Develop and define IVI and cockpit use cases leveraging R-Car SoC and software infrastructure
- Collaborate with sales, automotive product line marketing and applications engineers to generate winning reference software & application demos needed to establish clear dominance through best-in-class overall whole product.
- Enhance capabilities by extending the support of reference applications, HW accelerator use cases, and other connectivity applications
- Conduct benchmarks related to industry standards, emphasizing the competitiveness of our current and future platforms.
- Provide support to our customers as an application engineer to accelerate development of customer solutions and to create easy to use collateral such as application notes and reference solutions.
- Work closely with hardware and software product development organizations to validate the performance of SoC products and optimize various aspects including computation, operational, and power.
Relevant Experiences (Combination of good-to-have and must-have):
- Relevant 10+ years of embedded programming and debugging skills with C/Cpp in an embedded system like R-CAR SOC
- Experience with software design with Linux OS (software design with QNX is a plus)
- Proven track record in software development
- Ability to work with simulator and hardware environment as well as flashing of a device
- Proven track record for application bring up and debugging with embedded system
- Proven experience with automotive computer vision and radar applications
- Experience working with ARM architectures
- An academic degree in Computer Science, Electronics or similar
- Work independently in an international team with several stakeholders
- Team player having good communication skills and very good English in speech and writing
