Project/Program Manager of Test Technology and Strategy, Electrical Engineering

Operations Engineering Division (OED) is the central pillar organization that supports all Product Groups/Business Divisions and other support organizations including Sales and Marketing and Business Operations teams such as Supply Chain Management and Procurement. This organization offers a solid central platform managing all test technology and strategy for both Internal and External Manufacturing for the whole company.

Duties and Responsibilities: The strong and highly qualified team-members add strength in evaluating and developing Test Technologies, Strategies and Roadmaps for the company. Technologies cover a wide spectrum including advanced Logic, high performance Power, discretes including SiC and GaN and a multitude of mixed-signal applications that are tested in house and at strategic suppliers. The team’s world class contributions lead to aggressive NPI strategies and continuous cost and Gross margin improvements. The new hire is expected to:

• Overall key test technology roadmaps for products designed within Embedded Procession (EP) and High Performance Computing (HPC) R&D sites.
• Key Program Management role within Renesas Operations Engineering Department (OED) to strongly interface between OED teams including (Internal Test Ops, External Test Ops, Test Technology and Strategy), EP and HPC Product Groups and ENG department for enabling or adjusting our key test technologies.
• Develop, define, and execute plans of record, including, schedules, deliverables, and risks.
• Monitors and drives the program from initiation through delivery, interfacing with internal and external stakeholders across functions on technical matters, as needed.
• Working independently with little supervision. Making decisions that are moderate in impact; errors may have financial impact or effect on projects, operations, or customer relationships. 
• Using verbal and written communication skills to convey complex and/or detailed information to multiple individuals/audiences with differing knowledge levels.
• May require strong negotiation and influence, communication to cross functional groups.
• Exercising substantial creativity to innovate new technologies, processes or procedures to achieve established objectives.
• Develops and manages the execution of the program Plan of Record (e.g., on time, within scope etc.)
• Tracks and manages all key metrics pertaining to a program and identifies when metrics deviate significantly from Plan of Record; escalates issues in a timely manner and proposes corrective actions.

• Masters - Electrical Engineering or related Discipline, with Work Experiences.
• 5+ years working in semiconductor operations/ Engineering.
• Highly desirable: Technical Program Management with BS/MS in Business Admin.
• Hard core and high intensity individual driving matrix organization execution
• Bilingual capability with skill English + Japanese/Chinese.
