Location: Westford, MA 



  • You will have great opportunity to work with RFIC Circuit Design Engineers, Application Engineers, ATE Test Engineers, and Product Engineers to validate major RF blocks of the IC and ensure all the bugs of the IC before they get into production
  • Lead activities for safe and efficient management of engineering labs including planning and managing performance to ensure quality, business, and financial objectives are attained
  • Ensure all Renesas labs follow a consistent process by managing Hazard work authorizations, managing schedules, reordering supplies, Electrostatic Discharge mitigation, maintenance of equipment, calibration of tools and general upkeep
  • Implement current, annual and long-term technical, schedule, quality, business, and financial objectives for the engineering unit and may also participate in the development of Group/Company objectives
  • Manage lab equipment and/or customers lab equipment by providing appropriate documentation records
  • Interact internally with engineering team and/or with suppliers, vendors or customers to share information and for basic problem resolution. May act as primary contact for engineering lab activities
  • Ensure machinery, equipment, and tools are well maintained
  • Identify manufacturing issues and provide leadership in developing solutions
  • May participate in the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract(s)
  • Ensure technical leadership and excellence is maintained in the labs by participating in the planning, attraction, selection, retention, and development of the required management, professional, and technical talent
  • Lead progress review sessions to discuss cost, schedule, and lab performance
  • Manage the development of and ensure the security of the units proprietary technology, and maintain the strict confidentiality of sensitive information
  • May be responsible for decisions that impact the unit where erroneous recommendations could cause schedule delays and allocation of additional resources
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required
  • Manage Hardware PCB Design build for customer sampling, engineering characterization, and vendors negotiation
  • Assist with Hardware Schematic Design for RF EVB including base-station sub-6Ghz devices and mmwave devices



  • Typically requires engineering related discipline with 5+ years of progressively complex R&D experience
  • Demonstrates knowledge in the application of engineering principles, concepts, theory and practice as required for lab management, as well as project management and leadership skills including organizing, planning, scheduling, and coordinating workloads to meet established deadlines or milestones
  • Must have lab management experience
  • Must possess the ability to resolve management and technical problems. Strong communication, leadership, presentation, and interpersonal skills are required to enable an effective interface with other departments, all levels of management, professional and support staff, customers, potential customers. Customer focused, must be able to work on a self-initiated basis and in a team environment, and able to work extended hours and travel as required
