Role Description:
The APAC Endpoint Manager role, as a part of the Global Endpoint team, is responsible for the management of the APAC region-based members of the Global Endpoint team and reports to the Global Endpoint Manager.
The ideal candidate for the role of APAC Endpoint Manager will be an exemplary leader of people, with a strong technical background; they will have a record of delivering outstanding customer service and Endpoint management solutions that are secure, cost efficient, and empower our employees. They must be able to coordinate disparate drivers, cultures, and different regional priorities, while maintaining objectivity and a strong focus on optimizing endpoint management.
The key responsibilities for this role are to:
・Lead the daily operations of the APAC team responsible for managing all aspects of an enterprise endpoint environment, including Endpoint management infrastructure, OS image design and deployment, OS and application patching and upgrading, application deployment, configuration standardization, PC security, and inventory management as part of the global Endpoint team.
・Determine priorities for APAC team personnel to fully meet operational and project goals.
・Monitor workload, manage staff performance and development, and report accurately on key metrics.
・Provide regular status reports and escalation issues to the Global Endpoint Manager through regular team meetings and email communication.
・Work with the Global Endpoint Manager to identify and drive strategic and tactical initiatives.
・Ensure highly dependable, secure, and productive PC services that meet business objectives at the best value and total cost of ownership.
・Work with the Global Endpoint Manager to deploy, promote, and manage an Endpoint Management Services roadmap.
・Facilitate continual system improvements and optimization in line with wider ISD requirements and best practices.
・Manage and oversee Endpoint management projects, delivering quality services on-time, on-target, and within budget. Project management will include solution design, development and maintenance of project schedules and communication of status updates on project milestones.
・Lead resources and team to determine root cause issues, make recommendations on remediation and provide regular status updates.
・Function as technical and process escalation to the APAC team.
・Document and manage standard operating procedures for PC management operations, change management and evaluation, release and deployment management, asset and configuration management, and service validation.
・Align team goals to support the Client Services Support team's goals to deliver new PCs, software, security solutions, configurations, continuous improvement and support.
・Mentor and provide professional development to team members, facilitating a success driven environment based on ownership, teamwork, and execution. This should be achieved whilst continually aligning with business vision, goals, and objectives
・Travel occasionally, and as necessary to ensure the success of global projects.
Required skills and experience:
・Multilingual with Japanese and English written and verbal skills required.
・Must be able to work effectively with peers in a team-oriented environment, lead endpoint management related projects and take ownership of problem resolution as required.
・3+ years management experience leading large, globally dispersed teams of varying skills.
・5+ years with technical leadership of Microsoft SCCM (Endpoint Configuration Manager) in an environment with multiple locations, and multiple primary and secondary sites.
・3+ years of experience leading operating system deployment and management, and software distribution and management tools – Microsoft SCCM (Endpoint Manager)
・Experience with productivity tool configuration management (including Office Applications, Web browsers,..)
Must be able to lead in sound troubleshooting methodologies to remediate business application impacting events efficiently.
・Proven project management experience and demonstrated ability to execute and achieve expected results.
Solid understanding of networking concepts including, TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, VPN, load balancing, DHCP, VPN, and PXE Boot.
Desirable skills and experience:
・5+ years’ experience required managing enterprise level Information Technology (IT) systems for multi-site environments overseeing architecture, design, implementation, maintaining and troubleshooting aspects IT services.
・Experience with Windows 10 Enterprise operating system features, settings and installation, and deployment.
・Experience with co-management and cloud management of Windows 10 devices using both Configuration Manager and Microsoft Endpoint Manager/Intune.
・Experience with Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Azure AD Connector, Conditional Access, Active Directory, Group policy
・Industry certifications preferred (eg. Microsoft, ITILv4, Project Management)
