Sitting in 20+ countries, our internal clients rely on us for support on developing, producing, promoting, and selling exciting, cutting-edge technology solutions all around the world.   



・Supporting the development and operation of the compliance program for Renesas Group
・Overseeing the drafting, management, and implementation of compliance policies (including providing Legal input/advice to first-line divisions' policies)
・Providing legal advice to internal stakeholders including business units, corporate divisions, and overseas subsidiaries on compliance matters
・Providing legal input on global and domestic compliance training contents and implementation, planning and implementing compliance awareness initiatives on a range of subject matters including but not limited to: anti-bribery and corruption, anti-trust, regulatory and product compliance, privacy, labor and employment, supply chain compliance, etc. 
・Conduct compliance monitoring over key risk areas and evaluate program effectiveness 
・Support the operation of the Group's whistleblower hotline, including providing Legal support to internal investigations where required 
・M&A Support - provide advice on post-merger compliance program integration 
・Assist with special projects at all levels of Renesas.


【Required Skills and Work Experience】


- Law Degree; admitted to the bar in at least one jurisdiction
- 3+ years of experience at a top law firm or similar in-house role. Litigators and other specialists looking to transition to an in-house compliance role are welcome to apply.
- Understanding of compliance program global best practices (such as direct experience in an in-house compliance role at a global company, or through advising clients on compliance matters) 
- A proactive, can-do approach to identifying and proposing mitigation strategies for compliance risks 
- Strong appetite for continuous improvement of existing processes and structures
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Keen attention to detail, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and excellent organizational skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
- Good judgment with an understanding of when to ask for guidance or input, and how to spot and solve issues.
- Cooperative attitude and an affinity for working with others to get the job done.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

- Ability to communicate in business level English (including speaking), business level Japanese ability is a bonus.

- English : Business level(TOEIC Score around 700)

- Japanese: Business level (N2 or above) is ideal, but not required depending on the candidate's overall skills and experience.
