Title:  Senior Application Engineer

Job Function:  Application Engineering


  • Configure, customize and administer JIRA and Confluence; support customers on usage, implementation of new projects, configuring workflows, creating reports and migration - predominantly in North America but inclusive of global users
  • Define recommended software development practices and processes across a variety of development environments and programming technologies
  • Setup and maintain infrastructure for CI/CD, including an automated testing framework and a builds and storage pipeline
  • Setup and maintain a version control system that enables collaboration and efficient code reviews
  • Enabling work environments like usage of containers (eg Docker) for empowering application development
  • Configure and customize other third party tools like Artifactory, Gitlab and Elastic Search etc to support developers and the development process
  • Define and develop data analysis platform to monitor development processes and provide reporting to developers and management



  • 5+ years overall experience (total) in enterprise DevOps, configuration management, software development and agile processes.
  • 2+ years of experience in JIRA / Confluence administration and user support
  • 2+ years of experience in large scale continuous integration / delivery processes, tools / workflow automation (Preferable)
  • 2+ years of Linux administration (Preferable)
  • Experience in developing, managing and deploying containerized environments to large scale clients worldwide
  • Design and rollout experience with GIT, SVN, Gerrit, Gitlab, Jenkins, Zephyr and Artifactory (Preferable)
  • Experience with IT infrastructure, cloud computing and storage, DNS, FTP, VMs, servers and databases; experience with on-premise servers or public cloud (AWS) management (Preferable)
  • Programming experience in Windows, Linux, make files, compilers, assemblers, linkers, C, C++, Python, Java, Groovy, BASH
  • Ability to learn independently and problem solve
  • Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and tools
  • Comfort with collaboration, open communication and reaching across functional/geographical borders
  • Preferably a BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems of equivalent and 5+ years of related experience
