Job Summary:

As a member of RENESAS’s Global Sales, Marketing, Business Operations & Planning team, our focus is on delighting our customers and solving their everyday challenges by being experts in our segment and market, proactive in our field, ethical in our practices and collaborative in our processes.

As a Regional Distribution Manager, you will have the opportunity to support and manage, in a specific territory, the local branches and distributors on target segments and accounts.  Based on RENESAS’s segment plan and account plans and sales strategies, a RDM will collaborate with Sales Managers to grow revenue and demand from mass market.


Performance Objectives:

  • Growth of Mass Market: Motivate and work with the distributor to manage prospecting and developing target segment &accounts and/or applications within existing accounts, while maintaining a high level of service to current accounts.  Balance between short-term gains and long-term growth for all opportunities and initiatives to achieve and/or exceed preset sales targets.  Grow revenue and business with our Point of Sale end customer base and create new customers and demand with the distribution together. Take lead the regular business review in distributor’s main office & branch office and win mind share from their internal team.
  • Annual Planning and Operational Expertise: Accurately and effectively represent RENESAS’s new business development status and messages to channel customers, detailing those developments.  Manage Mass Market business through strong coordination and communication skills to manage pricing and revenue forecast with various business stakeholders.  On a periodic basis, participate in price negotiation with the customers and renew contracts, but focus on directing distribution activity at target accounts, including design effort, pricing and delivery.  In Sales system such as Model N, update and maintain all account information and activity, while maintaining annual plans and updating periodically to align with the market.
  • Increase Demand Creation:  Monitor the market and industry to identify new applications (design in) to initiate new business opportunities in key segments or customer base.  The RDM will work together with their regional FAE to focus on demand creation at leading customers and developing accounts in mass market.  FAE, Market Teams and Product Lines to provide accurate, effective and timely acquisition of customer’s technical information.  The position holder will also train Distribution FSEs and FAEs to achieve demand creation. Dig out high SAM, low share segments/customers with suitable opportunities and regular align with whole team to penetrate and resource deployment.
  • Branch office disty resource management: regularly track disty resource deployment for RENESAS business growth and drive for the change whenever necessary.



  • Education Required BSEE+
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Semiconductor Sales, in particular sales of ICs.
  • History of achievement in managing cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with the particular channel partner highly preferred (working for, or managing at, another semiconductor supplier).
  • Highly energetic and self-motivated.
  • Team-player, with strong coordination skills.
  • Strong analytical skills & communication skills.
  • Understand mass market across the different segments
  • Ability to build and develop strong, long term relationships.
  • Good judgment, tact and discretion.
  • Good discipline and never easily give up.
