Key Responsibilities

The China Ecosystem Development Principal Engineer is responsible for developing and managing partnerships with ecosystem partners for SoC and MCU, including Software Solution Providers and reference design houses in the focused automotive applications. This strategic role focuses on identifying, nurturing, and collaborating with key players within the industry to ensure the seamless integration of Renesas' automotive solutions into vehicles, driving growth in our market share, and ultimately delivering superior experiences to our customers. The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of the automotive technology landscape in China, as well as strong business relationship-building skills.

Key responsibilities:
•    Ecosystem Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive ecosystem strategy for ADAS, Infotainment and xEV solutions that aligns with the company's overall business objectives and market expansion goals.
•    Partner Identification: Identify potential software solution providers, start-ups, and industry partners that complement and enhance Renesas automotive system solutions, while assessing their suitability for collaboration.
•    Partnership Management: Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers within partner organizations. Collaborate closely with these partners to foster a mutually beneficial relationship that drives technology integration and market adoption.
•    Ecosystem Enablement: Provide technical guidance and support to partners for efficient integration, development, and optimization of software and hardware components. 
•    Project Management: Lead cross-functional teams in executing ecosystem development projects, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and alignment with project goals.
•    Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations of partnership agreements, contracts, and service agreements to establish clear terms and conditions for collaboration.
•    Marketing and Promotion: Work closely with marketing teams to develop joint marketing initiatives, events, and promotional activities to enhance partner visibility and drive customer engagement.
•    Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, including Engineering, Product Management, Sales, and Business Development, to ensure seamless integration of partner solutions and drive business growth.


•    Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related field.
•    Minimum of 10 years of experience in regional marketing, business development, ecosystem development roles or field application engineering within the automotive technology industry. 
•    Proven track record of successfully driving engagement with software solution providers in the ADAS and Infotainment domains in the Chinese market.
•    Deep understanding with ADAS and Infotainment solutions, their functionalities, and integration processes.
•    Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with partners and stakeholders.
•    Proficiency in both English and Mandarin, both spoken and written.
