Title: Mass Market/Disti Sales Manager
Job description
Responsible for selling the Renesas’ products or services and maintaining relationships with assigned customer base and Distributors. Responsible to grow Mass market and increase Market share with assigned distributors.
Responsible for expanding and developing accounts along with acquiring new accounts directly or through distribution if it is necessary to achieve set objectives so market shares. Identify, evaluate and develop strategic product line business plans to build account base.
Extensive travel may be required.
Essential Functions
Responsible for managing and generating all sales activates into assigned Distributors and worldwide sales accounts
Conducts research, provides plans and proposals to further successful penetration into target accounts
Supports, discusses and monitors all necessary actions for technical design-in of products
Calls on accounts, provides technical and administrative product information and/or demonstrations and quotes appropriate pricing
Handles small to medium accounts
Responsible for meeting individual sales goals, Builds relationships and influences the mind share of the customer in order to increase sales and market share while maintaining a competitive position and yielding the highest possible returns on sales
Position has assigned individual sales goals
Collects, compile and analyze information, i.e., forecasting, competitive information, etc.
Works with and through other departments within company to ensure that all sales activities meet/satisfy all business and/or legal requirements
Works closely at all levels within assigned distributors to identify all new opportunities for present and future products
Uses appropriate internal resources to meet customer requirements/schedules
Identifies and properly handles complex issues requiring a high level of expertise in decision-making
May be a team leader for a major account after performing the current position in a superior fashion
Involved in strategic planning with customers sell thru/pull thru
Desired Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in business or equivalent experience
7~15 years of related experience in a variety of sales environments, preferably a technical sales role
Proven ability to achieve sales targets and develop new business
Knowledge of disk drive business with solid technical skills
Excellent negotiation skills and is persuasive
Experience in hard drive channel sales preferred
Effectively uses WD sales process, tools and qualification procedures
Excel (using pivot tables, formulas, and models to analyze data sets), PowerPoint skills
