Overview
As our Sr. Web Marketing Operations Specialist, you will be a member of a driven and efficient content management team responsible for web content strategy and implementation on the Renesas public website. Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Web Marketing Operations in the Digital, Communication, and Enablement organization, you will collaborate with marketing, product owners, and other stakeholders to create and manage pages and digital assets. This role requires a persistent effort to communicate with website stakeholders and the ability to make content changes quickly and efficiently. As a content management system (CMS) super-user, you will be an authority on web content best practices and CMS governance. Understanding the sales funnel and customer journey is essential for the strategic implementation of content requests and campaign support on the public website. Familiarity with front end development and web content architecture is beneficial when troubleshooting issues and reporting bugs to the technical web team but is not required. The ideal candidate will possess English and Chinese language proficiency to support a multilingual website. Familiarity with SEO best practices is also ideal to guide stakeholders on effective content for organic search impact.
Responsibilities
- Create and manage a variety of content types in the CMS and document management systems
- Develop a deep understanding of the website taxonomy, structure, templates, and product line requirements
- Work collaboratively with business stakeholders, marketing partners, and creative teams on projects and tasks involving the public website
- Review new and existing content for brand/style guide adherence, fluency, grammar, and industry best practices
- Evaluate requests and push back as needed when they don’t make sense, collaborating with requestors to offer a better solution
- Analyze web traffic metrics and optimize utilizing platforms Siteimprove, Looker Studio dashboards and Google Analytics
- Represent business needs on dev web projects for supported platforms to help evolve infrastructure, architecture, and web presence
- Utilize process and workflows, and identify automation opportunities where possible
- Identify and report bugs, authoring inefficiencies, and feature enhancement requests
- Coordinate web page translation jobs between vendor services and internal reviewers
- Create or contribute to training materials for team members and stakeholders
- Provide clear, concise, and prompt communication on work tickets and email
- Ideally, manage occasional content requests for the China website and work to enhance our Chinese content (strong plus)
Requirements
- Proficient in HTML, CSS
- Proficient in proofing & minor copy-editing English content with proficiency in Chinese a strong plus
- 3+ years of experience working in a content management system (CMS), including an understanding of templates, components, workflows, and underlying functionality, ideally Drupal
- Experience in sourcing and piecing together content
- Knowledge of web traffic and engagement metrics
- Familiarity with UX, SEO and web design best practices
- Digital marketing experience a plus
- Proficiency in Photoshop, Excel, Jira a plus
- Project management skills and attention to detail
- BS or BA degree preferred but not required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
