Responsibilities:

 

FAE is an integral part of the sales team and is key to identifying new design opportunities, winning new design-ins, and providing customers and distributors with technical presentations. FAE will be accountable for all technical customer support as well as engage with various business units, marketing and applications engineering to drive short/long term revenue goals and define new product definition. FAE will proactively engage with factory applications engineers on technical issues, providing customer feedback, technical product improvements and discuss proof of concept that benefits IDT/REA’s product roadmap strategy and benefit customer’s application(s). FAE to take responsibility of his/her professional growth and continually learn industry technology trends, systems engineering applications/problems and engage in industry conferences/seminars that benefits our cloud customers and their personal/professional growth within IDT/REA.
 

Travel will be required to support customer design locations and internal Sales, FAE training and functions.


Requirements:

  • BSEE or MSEE with a minimum 4-10 year experience in the role as Field Applications or Applications Engineer
  • HW systems engineering including having prior experience on board and product level design is a benefit
  • Extensive knowledge of board design and network timing architectures  
  • Able to recommend solutions and devices for clock trees, including OSC, buffers, clock generators, jitter attenuators and synchronization PLLs
  • General knowledge of timing, power, analog and wired/wireless-based system applications and architecture
  • Have prior experience of using embedded and or GUI based tools
  • Demonstrate the ability to read HW schematic(s)
  • xperience with lab-based instrumentations, DMM, Oscilloscope, Power Supply, Analyzer
  • Good business acumen in front of the customer
  • Must be able to present and articulate IDT/REA’s value proposition from technical aspects
  • Must be able to work and communicate effectively as a team player within the Sales team and across BU global geo locations
  • General understanding of system block diagrams on data center applications (server/compute, storage and network applications).
  • General understanding of system topology on wireline and wireless infrastructure
  • General understanding of system block diagrams on consumer HW based platforms including serial or wireless interfaces; mobile, wearable, consumer electronic devices
  • Support Sales/BU in addressing technical questions to drive design-in into revenue opportunities
