As one of our Web Development Managers, you will be responsible for helping lead a global team of web developers and oversee all aspects of the software development lifecycle which includes estimating, technical design, implementation, documentation, testing, deployment and support of the Renesas Drupal-based website. Reporting to the Sr. Manager Web in the IT organization, you will work closely with the IT Web Architect and marketing business owners to address the business roadmap and priorities.



  • Manage a global web development team which includes internal employees, contractors, and external agencies
  • Drive staffing decisions to create a high performance development organization
  • Instill sense of urgency and accountability within the development team – be a driver
  • Seek to increase velocity of output and minimize turn-time for new feature requests and bugs
  • Work with the scrum master to build confident schedules and deliver a great product on-time
  • Work alongside the web QA team to prevent regressions and minimize bugs
  • Seek process and culture improvements to increase quality and efficiency of development; working alongside the dev ops team
  • Ensure that technical software development process is followed with industry best practices for software development
  • Develop risk mitigation strategies to account for unplanned events such as personnel turnover and urgent development requests
  • Coach developers to grow talent in both technical and soft skills, and organize professional development for your team
  • Participate in infrastructure planning and execution



  • BS or equivalent in Computer Science
  • 7+ years of B2B experience as a website developer (5+ years using Drupal) in a corporate environment with IT infrastructure
  • Expertise with Drupal, PHP, MySQL, JavaScript and CSS
  • Expertise with source management and automated testing methodologies: Git, Bitbucket, Pipelines, JIRA
  • Acquia Certification preferred
  • SOLR expertise and experience desired
  • Cloud tech experience: able to discuss multiple applications involving 5-10 different products from the likes of AWS, Azure, Google
  • Strong knowledge of software programming best practices and principles
  • Good technical and non-technical communication skills
  • Understands how to properly estimate timelines and deliver on-time
  • Familiarity of Agile (Scrum) development methodologies
  • Ideal candidate would have a background as a senior web developer as well as experience building and leading development teams
  • Involvement with open-source projects a plus
  • Japanese language experience a plus
