About the Role:

We are looking for a Manager or Senior Manager of International Tax to be part of the REA tax team located in San Jose, California. This role reports into Director of Tax. In this role, you will be responsible for foreign aspects of the company's global tax provision, international income tax compliance and transfer pricing. In addition, you will also be supporting US federal, state and local tax provision process.   

 

Duties and Responsibilities:
 

Responsibilities, depending upon candidate experience and fit would include:

 

  • Manage all US-International and foreign aspects of the Company's quarterly and annual income tax provision calculations and related financial statement disclosures, including current and deferred provision calculations, return-to-provision calculation and analysis, reconciliation and analysis of tax accounts, the analysis of uncertain tax positions and valuation allowance, and preparation of tax memos related thereto
  • Provide technical guidance and review all US international calculations, including but not limited to GILTI, FDII, BEAT, Subpart F, APB23 and FTCs, for technical and quantitative accuracy.
  • Manage global transfer pricing policies and calculations, including review and implementation of transfer pricing studies.
  • Ensure accurate, timely filing of consolidated federal, state and local income tax returns and other business related filings
  • Coordinate with external service providers and auditors on domestic, financial reporting and international tax matters
  • Partner with business leaders, tax, finance, treasury, legal, and external advisers on business and tax planning matters
  • Bring additional value by identifying tax planning opportunities, and identifying tax issues proactively
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments, communicate the effects of these developments to management and the tax team and create strategies to capitalize on changes to taxation legislation
  • Build and maintain effective control procedures and documentation over all aspects of the tax process
  • Support US federal, state, local and foreign tax audit defense and tax notices & inquiries
  • Support US federal, state and local tax provision process
  • Ad hoc tax projects as required or as needed

 

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Strong background in all facets of accounting for income tax, including U.S. international tax provisions of TCJA and the related provision impact
  • Hands on experience with leading, designing and implementing cross-border international tax planning
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate
  • Strong teaming skills and ability to build consensus across functional groups within finance
  • CPA preferred
  • Masters in Tax preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in public accounting and/or multinational corporation, progressively responsible tax experience in roles focused on US international tax, foreign tax management and transfer pricing
