Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate new product development from initial design phase to full production release
  • Develop test/ Validation plan and test coverage report
  • Perform characterization and validation of new products
  • Perform lab evaluation of electronics components and systems
  • Utilize knowledge of semiconductor fabrication process to support wafer fabrication
  • Validate production test systems
  • Perform failure analysis to resolve qualification failures, both internal and from customer returns
  • Perform data analysis for limit setting, yield enhancement, product cost reduction and device reliability improvement.

 

Qualifications:

Skill Requirements:

  • Experience with bringing new products from definition to production release including characterization and reliability testing
  • Good critical thinking skills to troubleshoot a variety of challenging issues
  • Strong failure analysis techniques to diagnose and improve analog/mixed-signal IC's
  • Knowledge of IC manufacturing processes including fab, assembly and test
  • Statistical analysis capability. Knowledge of JMP, Gauge R&R, limit setting and DOE methodology a plus
  • Bench evaluation capability. Knowledge of LabVIEW, Python or similar programming languages. Experience with PCB layout also a plus
  • Good communication, team working, and interpersonal skills are a must
  • High degree of flexibility in managing a volatile and demanding workload is also a must

 

Education

  • BSEE (MSEE pref.) or equivalent with 8 years’ professional industry experience in a product engineering role
