Renesas is an industry leader in the design of clocks, timing, wireless power, RF, sensors, interface and connectivity products. We are seeking a highly qualified test engineer to support all of our needs for NPI and sustaining test development. In this role, you would be responsible the ownership of test engineering projects and activities which would involve the development of test hardware and software from the design stage through characterization towards NPI release and volume production. Test development will include ATE (Teradyne/Advantest) and bench level SLT.



  • Take ownership of test solution from planning stage all the way to production
  • Generate test plans and identify requirements to execute on deliverables for High Speed Datacom and Telecom product line for optimum number of multisite, test time and cost
  • Develop test methodologies and test programs needed to for wafer sort and bench SLT RF/ATE final test solution
  • Convert, validate and debug vectors from VCD/WGL to ATE/bench SLT
  • Perform full checkout of test solution to support manufacturing transfer. This includes full multisite checkout, data gathering, data analysis and presentation of results.
  • Ability to interface external instruments to ATE for production testing



  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 7+ years related work experience
  • Experience with Advantest 93K/PS1600 and Teradyne J750 / RF Test up to 67GHz
  • Experience with probe cards and probe hardware and working knowledge of wafer probers including TEL and Accretech
  • Experience with using high performance lab equipment including PNA-X, high speed scopes and BERTs
  • Experience with bench automation software including VB, Labview, Python in an automated environment
  • Experience working on DFT tests
