Job Description

  • Tactical Marketing Engineers manage the day-to-day activities required to optimize revenue and drive customer satisfaction associated with assigned product lines.  
  • Typical activities include:
    • Promotion: Generating and present promotional material (presentations, website information, brochures, cross reference information, promotions, etc.) for assigned product lines 
    • Pricing: Develop and manage list pricing and price books as well as respond to customer specific RFQs and quotes. 
    • Forecasting: Work with Sales and Manufacturing to generate an accurate forecast to ensure the correct product is available when customers need it.
    • Analytics: perform detailed analyses of historical information and competitive factors to guide future decisions and activities.
    • Issue resolution: Manage projects and drive solutions to resolve product related customer issues.

 

Qualifications

  • BA or BS (or higher) degree 
  • 5 - 10 years relevant experience with product promotion, pricing, forecasting, and analysis
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and the ability to perform analyses and present results using this software
  • Fast learner - the type of person who doesn't sit around and wait to be told what to do; instead, figures out how to do it independently 
  • Team player, organized, disciplined, persistent, motivated and coach-able
  • Proactive - Takes initiative to identify issues, take ownership and drive solutions to ensure satisfactorily resolution
