Renesas is seeking a highly motivated professional with exceptional leadership & analytical skills to join us as a Senior Controller supporting Manufacturing/Operations. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, experienced, and highly analytical individual. This individual will partner with the Manufacturing/Operations teams to achieve goals, will analyze and report financial and operational results, monitor performance & recommend improvements, and lead the financial planning and forecasting processes.



  • Identify and communicate opportunities for profitability improvement.
  • Drive processes and analysis to support business decision making and profit optimization.
  • Own headcount, expense, and capital planning and reporting as primary Finance business partner for multiple groups under COGS and opex areas. Use company information systems to identify trends and understand variances between forecast and actual results.
  • Prepare monthly reporting package for manufacturing/operations reviews, including analysis & reporting on metrics such as gross margin, inventory, and expenses.
  • Support the quarterly standard cost update process, including working with Operations & product line
  • teams to validate cost changes & ensure product costs are correct.
  • Participate in monthly close activities including journal entries & cost/variance analysis.
  • Support cost model development/maintenance for new product investments.
  • Develop analytic models and tools to support the above activities.
  • Lead/contribute to Manufacturing Finance special projects.



  • BS/BA in Finance or Accounting (MBA preferred), with at least 5 years of FP&A related experience (Cost Accounting experience a plus).
  • High proficiency user of financial tools & systems such as Hyperion, SAP, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • High energy, motivated individual, with ability to think creatively and quickly with minimal direction and information.
  • Strong business and analytical skills; ability to multi-task, stay organized and prioritize deadlines in a continually evolving environment.
  • Strong relationship building and communication skills, experience and desire to work cross-functionally and be a contributing team member.
  • Demonstrated success supporting manufacturing/operations teams.
  • Experience in the semiconductor industry required.
