Description

Renesas Electronics America Inc. is looking for an Equipment Maintenance Technician Intern supporting our wafer fabrication equipment in our manufacturing facility in Palm Bay, Florida. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with excellent written and communication skills. This position offers development opportunities working for a leader in the design and manufacture of high-performance analog semiconductors. 
 

Position Summary:

The Intern will work in a 24X7 analog wafer fab producing 150mm & 100mm wafers in BiCMOS, CMOS, and bipolar silicon technologies.  

The candidate will work side by side with experienced Maintenance Technicians to perform preventative and corrective maintenance on various types semiconductor manufacturing equipment. The candidate will be exposed to problem solving techniques on complex electronic and mechanical systems.    

 

Requirements:

 

  • Must be a US citizen
  • Candidate must be working towards an AS degree in Electronics Engineering Technology or Mechatronics with an emphasis in electronics.
  • Willingness to work in a clean room environment and follow strict clean room requirements
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Detail orientated, team player with good verbal & written communication skills

 

Length of Assignment: 12 weeks but flexible depending on candidate’s circumstances

 

Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift 40lbs.
