Description:
- Assisting Application Engineers with bench evaluation of new products
- Printed Circuit Board (PCB) design and generation for bench and radiation testing
- PCB debugging and modification for bench and radiation testing
- Performing total ionizing dose (TID) at Palm Bay facilities
- Performing single event effects (SEE) testing at Texas A&M University
- Using die thinning tool to prepare samples for SEE testing
- Using pulsed laser tool to emulate SEE for diagnosing parts
- Hands on work in IC level & board level preparation and radiation testing (SEE & TID)
o Lab/board level preparation and electrical testing as needed
- Support data processing for data analysis by rad effects team and R&D teams
o Basic coding capability for data manipulation
- Support in test report generation
Requirements:
- At least two year Electrical Engineering Technology degree or 3 years experience
- Basic soldering skills
- Good understating of basic electronics lab equipment (oscilloscope, dmm, power
supplies, etc.)
- Ability and willingness to travel to perform required radiation effects testing.
Approximately 8 trips per year, 5-8 days per trip, March – December. Will require odd
work hours including overnight, weekends, and holidays
- Strong out of the box thinking and creative problem solving a must
- Attention to detail and strong sense of ownership on projects
- Familiarity with schematics and PCB manufacture
- Familiarity with programming in LabVIEW, Python, and Matlab is a plus
- Familiarity with basic IC components such as OpAmp and voltage regulators
- Ability to independently execute bench evaluations of IC products
- Ability to learn about radiation testing (TID & SEE) of products
- Ability to take direction and implement solutions
- Good English verbal and written skills
- US citizenship or permanent residency
