Job description


The Timing Products Division of Renesas designs advanced timing products such as clock generators and jitter attenuators for a variety of applications (network infrastructure and synchronization, server timing, etc.). The digital team specializes in the support circuitry required for these ASIC products (digital PLLs, processor sub-systems, miscellaneous support logic for the analog circuits, serial interfaces, etc.).
We are looking for a Senior Staff ASIC Digital Verification Engineer to join the digital team. Responsibilities will include being the verification lead during the development of new products, as well as hands on verification work, but will also include contributing to the improvement of our processes. The Senior Staff ASIC Digital Verification Engineer will also have the opportunity to teach and coach less experienced verification engineers.



The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:

• Experience with System Verilog for digital verification
• Experience with UVM including architecting of test environments
• Experience with advanced digital verification techniques (e.g., constrained random generation, functional coverage, etc.)
• Experience with taking product requirements and technical circuit descriptions and converting them into verification plans
• Experience with scripting (e.g., shell, Python, Tcl, Perl, etc.)
• Strong organization and communication skills


Preferred Skills & Knowledge

• Experience with project and people planning is an asset
• Experience with mixed signal circuits is an asset
• Experience with gate-level simulations is an asset
• Experience with embedded processors is an asset


Electrical, Computer or Software Engineering degree and 10+ years of practical experience.
