The Timing Products Division designs advanced timing products such as clock generators and jitter attenuators for a variety of applications (network infrastructure and synchronization, server timing, etc.). The Ottawa digital team specializes in the support circuitry required for these products (digital PLLs, processor sub-systems, miscellaneous support logic for the analog circuits, serial interfaces, etc.).


To further strengthen the team at our Ottawa location, we are looking for an ASIC Digital Verification Engineer who will work on the development of state of the art mixed-signal PLL (phase-locked loop) integrated circuits. The ASIC Verification Engineer will work on the development of the integrated circuits by doing block-level and chip top-level RTL and gate-level verification, as well as FPGA validation and prototype testing on the bench.


Basic Qualifications


The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:

• Knowledge of System Verilog for digital verification

• Experience with Synopsys and/or Cadence simulation tools

• Fast learner with ability to work under minimal supervision

• Strong organization and communication skills


Preferred Skills & Knowledge


• Experience with UVM, SVA and functional coverage is a strong asset.

• Experience with embedded programming is an asset.

• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python and Tcl is an asset.


Education / Experience

• Electrical or Computer Engineering degree and 2 years of practical experience.
