The Ecosystem team is seeking a Sr. Staff Systems Engineer (Global Lead) who thrives in a dynamic environment, is driven by curiosity and has strong technical acumen. You will drive and manage all technical aspects of engagement with strategic partners globally including but not limited to evaluating partner technologies and capabilities, working across a broad range of teams to architect, develop and execute joint solutions, support customers with strategic partner solutions, enable the business development & sales teams with technical collateral, proof-of-concept demoes, and the tools needed to win. What You’ll do

  • Lead the global ecosystem engineering team
  • Drive & manage all technical aspects of engagement with Strategic Partners
  • Help with new technology and partner scouting and capability analysis
  • Define, architect & develop system-level solutions leveraging cutting-edge partner technologies for IoT and Renesas product portfolio (special focus on Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning & Voice User Interface)
  • Create and deliver technical training for internal and external stakeholders on key partner technologies
  • Develop technical content and labs for customer-facing technology workshops and roadshows  
  • Assist in development of technical marketing presentations, videos, whitepapers & other sales collateral
  • Manage the entire life-cycle of solutions end-to-end including development & support, deployment, customer support, maintenance & updates, etc.
  • Provide Level 1 support for strategic partner solutions
  • Work with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment with product requirements and project objectives
  • Implement engineering processes to ensure high quality designs



BS and 8-10 years of experience or MS with at least 6-8 years of relevant of experience degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.  MS preferred.


Required Experience

  • At least 8 years of experience developing MCU-based embedded products or systems development
  • Hands-on experience with AI/ ML or Voice technologies
  • Firmware and software design in support of solution development   
  • Creation of supporting documentation for embedded systems
  • Understanding of RTOS concepts and experience with multithreaded programmingUnderstanding of RTOS concepts and experience with multithreaded programming
  • Board bring-up and debugging for complex MCU based products/systems
  • H/W digital and analog design of board-level circuits, including MCU interfacing and sensor signal conditioning
  • Exceptional embedded firmware/software skills using C or C++; Familiarity with OO concepts and/or platform embedded designs
  • Design and development of multi-threaded/multi-tasking applications using MCU-based RTOSs
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.


Desirable experience

  • System level experience with AI/ ML, Voice
  • Experience with a variety of fundamental IOT technologies like cloud, wireless, security, safety, low power design, etc.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python/ micro-Python, deep-learning tool-chains/ frameworks, matlab
  • Experience working with remote teams
  • Experience leading global and cross-functional teams
